FROM YOUR PASTOR...

Sunday was such a great day in worship!  I am always excited when I baptize person and they take their first step on the Christian path.  The Sanctuary Choir out did themselves and lifted us into God’s Presence -- it was a great day to be in the house of the Lord!

My family and I are also filled with deep gratitude for your continuing love, prayers and support as we walk with Peg in her healing journey.

Sunday we began Church Loyalty Month.  Church Loyalty Month is a time of special emphasis during which we will renew our loyalty to the church and its ongoing purpose of demonstrating the love of God and inviting all persons to respond by accepting Jesus as their Savior.  It is also a time when we will renew our efforts to have vital programs that will help people to discover, develop and use their abilities and resources in serving God and others.  Church Loyalty Month began Sunday and will conclude on October 10.  Some of the ways we will be observing Church Loyalty Month include the following:

1.            I will be preaching a series of sermons on

            "Who We Are And What We Believe";

2.            OASIS begins again

3.            We will participate in the RECONCILIATION Ministry of the church;

4.            We will celebrate World Communion Sunday;

5.             Our new ministries for children and youth will enlarge with Sunday evening meetings.

6.            We will observe of Week of the Ministry

As you can-see many exciting and helpful experiences will be taking place at our church in the coming weeks.  All of this is in addition the dynamic worship services that will be filled with uplifting and inspiring music.  I hope to see you this Sunday, and every Sunday in Church Loyalty Month as we continue to give ourselves to God in gratitude for all that God has done for US.
