Dessert Auction - May 18, 2003
After church we assembled in the Family Center to eat burgers, hogs, fries, and ice cream sundaes. After the meal we raised over $1,900 for our new church sign in a dessert auction. |
Cooks Buck Anderson, John Husbands, and Alfred Anderson (shown left to right) seemed to enjoy themselves. It was rumored that they may have even skipped church saying - "We had to watch the food!" |
Auctioneer (in-training) Jerry Nickerson looks for the next bid. |

Cone on guys, get into the spirit. Let's have a bid! |
| By now, Jerry is is sitting
down. He's plum tuckered out! |
Sherrie has been trying all afternoon to win a bid. Look at that sneaky Buck hiding in the back upping the bid. But all things did end well. By the end, Sherrie did get her pound cake. |

And the grand award for the highest bid goes to Flora Mae. I sure hope she enjoys that $200 chocolate pie! As a side note. Auctioneer Jerry (the husband of the high bidder Flora Mae) tried to get her to bid on the dessert he wanted but she refused. And guess what, Jerry doesn't even like chocolate pie! |
